Secret of the Vine is the story of Jack Sanderson, a young man who finds himself in the Napa Valley exploring a business opportunity. In the same way that John Berendt introduced us to Savannah through an infamous murder in Midnight In The Garden of Good and Evil, Secret of the Vine unveils the illustrious Napa Valley through Sanderson’s entanglement in a mysterious plot that is threatening the Valley’s livelihood. Although Jack's business opportunity falls through, something more meaningful materializes as his journey awakens a deep spiritual seed within.

Secret of the Vine is based upon James Goldwag's experiences while living in Napa Valley, California. He is currently at work on the sequel, Internal Sun.
